Steal An Egg Mutation Calculator: Stack Mutations and Compare Every Multiplier

By Poodadoo Editors · November 4, 2026

Pick a pet, add one or two mutations and a weight ratio, and the calculator shows the final $/s with the full multiplier math. The table under it ranks every mutation for that same pet, including what each one adds on top of the mutation you already have and what a consumable attempt is worth on average. A quick check of the two stacking rules: Golden + Rainbow is x5 if bonuses add, x8.75 if they multiply.

MutationMultiplierThis pet, only this mutation+ slot 1Avg gain per consumable tryHow to get

All values per pet, at the weight ratio above. "Avg gain per consumable try" = success chance x the $/s the mutation adds to an unmutated pet. Shorthand works: K, M, B, T, Qa, Qi.

How mutation math works

Income in Steal An Egg follows one formula, published on the community wiki:

$/s = base income x mutation factor x size factor

The mutation factor is what this page is about. With one mutation it is just that mutation’s multiplier: a Rainbow King Snake at normal weight makes $3.5M x 3.5 = $12.25M/s. Size multiplies on top, so the same Rainbow King Snake at 10x its base weight makes $12.25M x 4.137 = about $50.7M/s.

With two mutations there are two possible rules, and the sources do not agree:

RuleGolden (2.5x) + Rainbow (3.5x)Who says so
Additive: 1 + (2.5 - 1) + (3.5 - 1)x5holdtoreset.com mutations guide, updated November 3, 2026
Multiplicative: 2.5 x 3.5x8.75Nobody states it; it is what you get if you apply the wiki formula once per mutation

The calculator defaults to additive because that is the only rule anyone has written down. Under the additive rule each extra mutation adds its bonus (the part above 1), so the order does not matter and two weak mutations add little. Silver + Bloom is 1 + 0.2 + 0.25 = x1.45. Multiplicative rules reward stacking much more. If you own a pet with two mutations, divide its in-game $/s by base income x size factor and see which rule your number matches.

All mutations in one table

These are the multipliers the calculator uses. “Status” tells you how solid each number is.

Older guides from August 2026 print different values for five of these (Silver 1.25x, Bloom 1.5x, Golden 2x, Rainbow 2.5x, Spirit Bloom 3x). The mutations guide explains the split. If you have an older value in mind, pick “Custom” and type it.

Reading the comparison table

  • “This pet, only this mutation” is the pet with that one mutation, at the weight you entered. Rows are sorted by it, so the top row is the best single mutation for that pet. The order is the same for every pet, because a multiplier is a multiplier; what changes is the size of the gap in dollars.
  • ”+ slot 1” shows the pet with your first mutation plus that row’s mutation, using the combine rule you picked. This is the column to read when you already own, say, a Golden pet and want to know what a Fractured attempt would add.
  • “Avg gain per consumable try” only appears for mutations you apply with an item that can fail. It is the chance times the gain. A Spectral attempt (25%) on a pet is worth, on average, a quarter of the full Spectral gain; a Fractured attempt (10%) a tenth. It assumes a failed try uses up the item, as the wiki describes for Fractured.

What the numbers say

Weight beats most mutations. A pet at 10x its base weight gets a 4.14x size factor, more than any color mutation except the disputed Luminous. At 125x it is about 19.6x. Mutations and size multiply each other, so a mutation is worth the most on your heaviest pet. Put your consumables there.

Expected attempts. On average a 10% item needs 10 tries, the 15% Abducted crystal about 6.7 tries (around 3,333 UFO Debris), and a 25% Spectral attempt 4 tries (around 2,000 Souls). The chance of at least one success in N tries is 1 - (1 - p)^N: for Abducted that is 56% after 5 crystals and 80% after 10.

Fractured, Scrambled, Nitro, Enchanted and Spectral are all 2.75x. Choose by cost and chance, not by multiplier. Enchanted had a 100% success rate, so if you still have one, it is the safe pick. Spectral has the best odds of the ones that can fail.

Abducted (2.5x) is equal to Golden. It is the newest mutation and the only one you can farm right now on a 30-minute timer, through the UFO Invasion. See the UFO Invasion guide for the full loop.

Can you put a consumable on a pet that already has a hatch mutation? An August guide shows a pet with Golden and Silver at once, so two mutations on one pet do exist. We have not found anyone saying whether a consumable replaces or adds to an existing mutation, so check the result card before you use expensive items on a mutated pet.

Mutation calculator vs. income calculator

This page answers “what is this pet worth with these mutations, and which mutation should I go for”. The income calculator answers “how long until I can afford X” with several pets and your current cash. To line up two to four pets against each other, use the pet comparison tool.
