Our Practice

Editorial Standards

poodadoogaming.com publishes independent editorial coverage across a curated network of subject-specific sections. Our standards are practical and non-negotiable — they exist because credibility with readers is the only durable currency.

Independence

Editorial decisions — what to publish, how to frame it, and when to correct it — are made independently of advertising, commercial partnerships, and outside interests. Advertisements are clearly labeled as such and are separated from editorial content in placement and design. No advertiser has approval over any article before publication.

Verification & Sourcing

We report information based on documented sources. When we cite specific numbers, quotes, or claims of fact, we prioritize:

  • Peer-reviewed research and official statistics for scientific, medical, and financial content
  • Primary documents (contracts, filings, transcripts) for reporting on specific events
  • On-record interviews with named subject-matter experts for interpretation and analysis
  • Multiple independent sources for controversial or contested claims

Where a claim is contested or the evidence is limited, we say so in the article itself rather than presenting speculation as fact.

Anonymous Sources

We prefer named sources. Anonymity is granted only when the source faces credible risk of professional, physical, or legal harm from being identified — and only when the information is corroborated by other verifiable evidence. Every use of an anonymous source is reviewed by editorial leadership.

Corrections Policy

Errors are inevitable in a fast-moving publishing operation. What matters is what we do about them.

  • Reader-reported corrections are reviewed within 24 hours of receipt during the business week.
  • Verified corrections are made in the article and noted at the bottom of the piece with the date of correction.
  • Significant errors that materially change the interpretation of a story are flagged at the top of the corrected article, not only in the footer note.
  • We do not remove articles due to unwelcome coverage; we correct or update.

Contact contact@poodadoogaming.com to report a correction.

Conflicts of Interest

Writers disclose material conflicts of interest — financial holdings, personal relationships, or prior employment — that could reasonably be perceived to bias coverage of a specific subject. When a conflict is unavoidable, we assign coverage to a writer without the conflict, or we disclose the conflict prominently in the piece.

Attribution & Fair Use

We credit sources for images, data, quotes, and prior reporting. Where we quote or excerpt substantially, we do so within the bounds of fair use for commentary, criticism, and reporting. If attribution is missing or incorrect, contact us and we will remedy it.

Editorial Review

All articles pass through at least one editorial review before publication. Reviews cover:

  • Fact-checking of specific claims against sources
  • Clarity and coherence of the argument
  • Fairness of framing and treatment of opposing views
  • Adherence to house style and standards

Reader Engagement

We read every message sent to contact@poodadoogaming.com. Reader feedback — praise, criticism, and correction — is a core input to how we improve.

Updates to These Standards

These standards may be updated over time as our editorial operation evolves. Substantive changes will be noted with a revision date. The current version is our operative policy.
